Location Hunting

When hunting for a location in Guelph for Together Again Eyewear’s first home, we started to explore different areas and narrowed our search to Downtown Guelph. We loved the walkability of the core and the large variety of independent businesses. We walked up and down many streets and found some great potential new neighbours.

Quebec Street | Miijidaa and The Bookshelf
MacDonell Street | Crafty Ramen and Rug & Weave
Wyndham Street | IF Footwear Boutique and The Cornerstone
Norfolk Street | The Guelph Farmers’ Market and Secret Garden Boutique

After months of streetwalking, we finally decided on a corner spot that looks out on Woolwich Street, Suffolk Street and Yarmouth Street. What really sold us on our current location was the Woolwich Village vibe. One of the first shops we visited in the area was Sunday General which felt cozy and very community-focused. Coincidentally, we scooped up the old Blooms & Flora space which we now share with Cedar Lily Bra Boutique. And Sunday Blooms is just a quick jaunt down the street. We keep our shop full of plants to honour their legacy at this location!

Welcomed by Amazing Neighbours

Upon opening Together Again Eyewear, we were immediately greeted by incredibly friendly neighbours. Sara from Kennedy Park stopped by with a shop-warming candle and welcomed us to the community. Denise from Ms. Meri Mak immediately invited us to jump into one of her Instagram reels. We met Iris, from Blue Iris Pottery, and she made us a custom cookie jar for our dog treats. Tamara from Spa Wellness and Julie and Jenni from Reverie popped over with warm welcomes. Robin and Lynn from Millennium Clothing, and their shop dog Roy, are always friendly faces.

After settling into our space, more new neighbours started popping up. Andrea from Cedar Lily Bra Boutique moved into the spot right beside us and is very supportive. Amanda and Steve opened up Kanoo Coffee and always keep us caffeinated. Cami from Anthology Marketing christened our dog-friendly shop, by popping over to say hello with her Dachshund, Alfie. Bobby ran over from his vintage boutique, Three Pieces Shop, and had some fun trying on a variety of our frames. Carly Klassen, Ward 2 City Councillor and founder of Sage Soap Company and Mkt Mkt Events, was quick to sweep us up and into her Mabon Market festivities.
